Bit Che: Find and download torrents without a browser

Bit Che
There are plenty of people that think the internet and the web are synonymous. They aren't. There are a number of ways to transfer data over the internet without firing up a web browser, ranging from email and FTP to the new kids on the block such as BitTorrent. And Bit Che is an application that lets you search for, download, and open Torrent files without a web browser. It's fast, simple, and works with your default BitTorrent client.

In a nutshell, once you fire up Bit Che, all you have to do is enter a query and hit the search button. It will search dozens of BitTorrent trackers including BTJunkie, NewTorrents, and ISOHunt for files matching your search terms. You can then either save the Torrent or open the file in your default BitTorrent client to begin downloading the file.

In other words, Bit Che is a lot like Torrent Magnifier, an application we covered last week. Except instead of opening a web page at the end, Bit Che opens the program you're actually going to use to download the file.

*Note: No illegal copies of a blockbuster movie were downloaded during the making of this article. That would be illegal and just plain wrong. Besides, it wouldn't be nearly as cool without 3D glasses.
