Skinning the Fox just got easier: Personas 2.0

Hot on the heels of Personas 1.0, released back in April, Mozilla Labs have just released the first major update: Personas 2.0! As Lee pointed out during the initial launch, it's now even easier to make an ugly Firefox.

Personas themselves might in some case be butt-ugly, but damn the Mozilla Labs site is beautiful. But other than a pretty website... there isn't a whole lot new to report. You can search and add favourites now, and there's also 'popular' and 'just added' filters that allow you to discover new and/or interesting personas.

The press release also highlights the vast amount of choice: they reckon the'll have 40,000 designs by the end of the year! Wow. How many of those are actually worth using? You decide. They're also looking for people to help with localization, for the Personas website itself, to help non-English speakers uglify their Firefox.

There's an introductory video, if you've never used Personas before, after the break.
