KiTTY is Win32-native PuTTY

KiTTY is Win32-native PuTTY. If you've ever used PuTTY before, this is all you need to know.

On the other hand, if you're wondering what PuTTY is, let me tell you! It's what I'm here for, after all. PuTTY is a free and open-source terminal emulator; you can use it as a client for Telnet, SSH, raw TCP sessions, and rlogin. If you have no idea what any of this means, I'm afraid KiTTY may prove less than useful for you.

I have used PuTTY itself on a Win32 system before and did not experience any problems. However, KiTTY is "made for" Windows, so in theory, it should run smoother and consume less resources (not that a terminal application is resource-hungry anyway).

So, the next time you read one of my posts about a surviving online BBS, and you find yourself wondering what application you should use to log on and find some new retro-loving friends -- KiTTY is the answer.
