Downloader: Humble Indie Bundle lets you pay what you want for five amazing games

If you wanted to buy the five games in the Humble Indie Bundle at their regular prices, you'd have to shell out 80 bucks. Instead, you can pay what you want for World of Goo, Penumbra Overture, Aquaria, Gish and Lugaru HD, and the money goes to charity. The charities are awesome, too: Child's Play (which provides games, books and cash to sick kids in hospitals) and the Electronic Frontier Foundation. You've got one week to jump in and snap these games up for the price of your choice.

"Pay what you want" is nothing new for 2D Boy, the company behind World of Goo. They tried a limited-time experiment with the choose your own price model that ended up moving tens of thousands of copies. Although most gamers only paid a penny, full-price sales and sales on Valve Software's Steam store went up in a big way after the promotion. Will people pay closer to full price when charity is involved? We'll have to wait and see.
