Add elevator music to break the monotony of slow-moving Windows progress bars!

Doo doo doo...

Admittedly, Windows progress bars are something of an antiquity. In bygone years you used to spend a significant percentage of your waking hours watching progress bars slowly crawl across your screen. Even worse were those broken-into-chunks old-school bars that sometimes didn't move for AGES. It would've been great to have Instant Elevator Music back then.

Today though, it's still a fun little app. You can probably guess what it does: whenever a progress bar appears on your screen, muzak lazily emanates from your speakers. It is, in fact, just like standing in an elevator. Anything to break that uncomfortable, sweaty silence! If only I could find something in Windows 7 that actually takes more than a few seconds to process -- still, I imagine this could be a great app for those with under-powered computers!

By default Instant Elevator Music only comes with one track, but you can always change it to something else. More pan pipes... less pan pipes -- I chose something with maracas of course, but every muzak connoisseur is different.

Looking for other ways to jazz up a tame desktop? Don't forget about Billy Mays caps lock!

Note: the app doesn't actually add little music notes like the screenshot above.
