Dig.ccmixter.org is a section of ccmixter.org dedicated solely to helping you find awesome Creative-Commons licensed music for your free or commercial project. They boast an incredible statistic, claiming that one in six tracks featured on the site is already in use for some project. From what I've sampled, the music does seem to be of very high quality.
Each track is clearly labeled with its CC licensing terms (Attribution, non-commercial use only, and so on), and you can easily filter music by license type and recommended use. For example, here's a short list of music that they call Acoustic-ish Instrumental Coffeeshop Music. The site features a nice player and lets you play full-length tracks. I wanted to embed one of the songs into this post so you could get a feel for the music, but sadly, I could not figure out how to embed a particular song -- only the player itself. Maybe someone could help me out in the comments.
