The app is designed to keep track of your friends, but some may worry that it has stalker-esque implications. I actually think TrackinU is cooler than it is creepy, but it's also easy to forget that third-party apps can do things that the Twitter Web interface can't. Just because Twitter doesn't offer a way to map your whole tweet stream doesn't mean that it can't be done. Plus, in the age of foursquare (and, soon, Facebook location) does anyone really care?
TrackinU shouldn't be all that controversial, since geotagging is opt-in and entirely a user's choice. In fact, it's a feature that only about 1% of Twitterers use right now. If you want your friends to know where you are, and you don't mind other curious followers seeing too, geotag your tweets. If you don't want anyone to know where you are, don't.
