Ask DLS: How do you get inside the Great Firewall of China?

It's an odd thing; everybody seems to want to get out of the Great Firewall of China. Intensive googling has revealed nothing but ways to bypass, circumvent, or otherwise get around the firewall from within China.

But what if I run a website, and I want to see what it looks like from within China? I don't mean just the website itself; I also want to see what search terms it shows up for, what it looks like on different search engines, etc.

After spending quite a bit of time searching, all I came up with as an answer to this theoretical question is an aging Firefox add-on called China Channel. It's not compatible with Firefox 3.5, and according to the reviews, it is no longer working (and may even cause some harm).

That is the only thing I could come up with. Privacy advocates, where are you? Why is it so difficult for me to experience the Great Firewall of China and see what the world looks like for an average Chinese Web surfer?

So, trusty readers... what ways do you know for simulating the Great Firewall? How can I see what the Web looks like from the inside?
