Fizzik looks to deliver a smarter, more social web browser

While our readers (and other in-the-know users) are probably more concerned with speed, security, and extensibility when it comes to web browsers, the general public still just wants a browser the lets them look at stuff on the Internet. While browsers like Chrome and Opera might now be enticing alternatives for those users, Fizzik very well could be.

Like Flock, Fizzik's aim is to bring a more social experience to your browser. Fizzik, however, sports a very different interface. It's a minimal frame with sharing and bookmarking buttons in the bottom right corner. Perform a search on a site like Google, YouTube, or Flickr, and a thumbnailed list of results slides in on the left-hand side of the window.

The browser also includes some Userscript-type tweaks, which you can see in the screenshot. There's no excess clutter from the YouTube page displayed, just the requested video. By offering users a more distraction-free way to find, view, and share content, Fizzik just might be a browser your parents and less technical friends want to use.

Fizzik is currently in beta and we've reached out for some invites...until there's a public preview, you can get a taste of what's in store by watching the video after the jump.
